1 day out…!!!
It’s the BIG day tomorrow! I can’t believe how quickly it has come around. Nerves are kicking in now though.
These last couple of weeks have been really difficult – training has remained intense, but diet has got stricter – so few carbs over these last 2 weeks – trying to get rid of any body fat/excess water that I’m carrying. The earlier part of this week I was just on 25g rice per day – I chose to eat this with my breakfast egg whites…..so had egg fried rice for brekkie! Since Thursday I’ve been on protein and ONLY protein – so have been just eating scrambled egg whites and chicken – although the changes to my body externally have been great, internally not so good. I’ve been busy with work and training so had the constant battle of trying to jolly people through their training session, when I all really wanted to do was lie down and rest! It’s being SO draining. Just have had no energy whatsoever, which also means my moods aren’t that great either.
The “dance” has come along ok and although I’m really nervous about it, I’m sure it’ll work out fine – but to be honest, there’s nothing more I can do now, other than get on the stage and just do it.
So, tomorrow I will be on stage in my heels and bikini in front of hundreds of people! I can’t change anything more now, everyone has to start somewhere and all I can do is make improvements for the next one – in June! Yep, I’m gonna go through this ALL again – but at least I’m not starting from scratch this time around.
I will post an update next week, with photos – “before” and “after”, so that you can see my progress. Not sure what my body fat percentage is now, but since 31st December I’ve lost 10kg (22 lb…..almost 2 stone!), which officially makes me “tiny”. I’ve never been called that word before – lol! I quite like being “tiny”, but I’m not a skinny girl, I have muscles!!
Thanks for reading, all is left for me to do now is eat some more chicken and egg whites (blurgh!), rest with my feet up and not drink anything until AFTER the show tomorrow!
I must say, I am looking forwards to tomorrow when I am able to eat some rice cakes with honey – to help fill my muscles up – oh and chocolate, a shot or two of gin to help the veins.
Good luck to my buddies Claire Parkin and John Osbourne who will be competing in the same show! Thank you for all the support and advice.
A huge thank you to my husband Al (who competed for his first time last weekend….and looked HOT!), to my coaches Dovile and Laimonas, to my beautiful daughter Kyra, to my family, friends and clients for putting up with me talking about training and/or how rubbish I felt.
